Angvik

Angvik Auto Holland is the result of years of collaboration with Angvik Auto AS based in Molde, Norway. Angvik Auto AS is a family business that originated in 1925. Since then, it has been managed by the Angvik family. In order to provide even better service to our customers, we started in October 2012 with a Dutch office located in De Lier.

  1. Featuring accommodation with a patio, Angvik Fjordferie is located in Angvik. This apartment has a garden, barbecue facilities, free WiFi and free private parking. The apartment features 1 bedroom, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, an equipped kitchen with a microwave and a fridge, a washing machine, and 1 bathroom with a hot tub.
  2. Angvik Gamle Handelssted is located in the village of Angvik, by the Tingvollfjord in Nordmore. The place has roots back to the 1500's when sailing ships from Holland anchored up in the bay to buy timber.

Jane Angvik Jane Angvik moved to Alaska from Minnesota in 1973 so she could hike, kayak and ski in the mountains and waterways of Alaska. She has been engaged in public service and was elected to political office as a member of the Anchorage Charter Commission, which wrote the Municipal Charter that unified three cities and a Borough into a single unified municipal government. She also served six years as member of the Anchorage Assembly, which she chaired.

Professionally, Ms. Angvik has been involved in community development and resource management endeavors for the past four decades. She has worked with Alaska Native organizations, state and local governments and nonprofit entities across Alaska. She served as the Commissioner of Economic Development and also the Director of the Division of Land and Water for the State of Alaska.

Additionally, community engagement in public policy development occupied much of her time and energy. In rural Alaska that took the form of insuring access to the fish and wildlife resources for use by the indigenous peoples of Alaska. Celebration of the thriving and diverse cultures and languages of those same people motivated her energy for planning and developing the Alaska Native Heritage Center in Anchorage.

Quandary

Jane has also been active in recruiting and training women to run for and serve in elected office. She helped to develop the Alaska Womens Political Caucus and more recently worked with Alaska Women Ascend, a training program developed for women after the 2016 election. She has worked on many campaigns for progressive candidates.

She has also served on the Boards of several organizations that support women and the development of girls, such as the Girl Scouts of Alaska, Planned Parenthood, and Alaska Women’s Hall of Fame. Attending the United Nation’s International Women’s Conference in Beijing in 1995 was a highlight of her involvement with women’s rights.

Jane has been happily married to Vic Fischer for 40 years. They raised a daughter and delight in their grandchildren. Angvik earned a BA in urban studies from the University of Minnesota and an MA in Public Administration from Harvard.
